Robo Repo Run

Play as a robot on the run after stealing highly valuable equipment from the factory repository: an advanced jetpack and an extremely impressive big stick. Try to avoid the factory goons and obstacles for as long as possible before your inevitable disassembly in this 2D side-scrolling platformer.

Short, Sharp and Swift

With fast paced action, use your quick thinking to avoid dynamic obstacles and enemies to make it as far as possible and achieve a high score. With random procedural level generation, every run is different and will have you going "just one more try."

Experiment and Optimise

Choose how you want to play. Customise your robot and experiment with a wide number of variations to find your favourite loadout. Or maybe you want to try and optimise that high score and challenge yourself to see how far you can go with nothing but the basics and a whole lot of speed.

This game is part of my One-Week Dev series where I try to execute an idea over roughly a weeks amount of work. This project took me about a week and a half to create including the programming, art, animation and sound effects. The hard decision for me was what to do with the music. After sitting on the project for a while I opted to use some royalty free music so I could finally publish, but I may experiment with some music creation of my own down the line.

In any case, DSTechnician makes some very nice synth/electro music that I thought fit my project quite well. Have a look at some of their other samples here: DSTechnician - Pixabay

Have fun playing and I'm curious how high a score people can achieve. My best was 98,000 ish - so close to the 100,000 milestone, opting for a Jetpack + high speed + low health loadout.
